Provided below is the content should the file not download for you. :) If you have requests for your monthly newsletter to be in another language feel free to contact me we will set up a new letter plan for you and your student.
It is time to continue forward in our learning experience! We will explore many new writing tools and authors seen through out the Romantic period of America. This section includes poetry, essays, and short stories that are sure to keep you wanting to read more. I advise your students not to fall behind in the reading material as each day we do part-take in class discussion, group work, and independent work. In the best interest of your student’s comprehension level, please make sure they read every night and take note of questions they may have for me the following class. We are starting to move into more intense content with more complex characteristics and messages. Our midterm is not too far off and I hope to see all students pass with flying colors! A good chunk of this section’s focus will be poetry, a genre that even I as an educator can sometimes find difficult to understand. I look forward to working with your students and with encouragement between you and I, I am sure they will find these next few weeks challenging and enriching.
Authors to be Covered: Washington Irving, Emerson, Thoreau, Emily Dickenson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville. These authors are known for their lyrical flow and their vast use of description and imagery. We will master understanding their work through many forms of written, verbal, and technological, means.
